Long-validity visitor visas cost considerably more — roughly £506 for 2 years, £903 for 5 years and £1,128 for 10 years. The UKVI fee is paid online by card; VFS service and courier charges are paid at the centre in Kathmandu.
Visa types
Standard Visitor — tourism — Up to 6 months. Holidays and sightseeing. Covers visiting friends and family too.
Standard Visitor — business — Up to 6 months. Meetings, conferences and training. It does not permit working for a UK employer.
Long-validity visitor — 2, 5 or 10 years. Multiple visits over a long validity, each visit capped at 6 months.
Student visa — Course length. Requires a CAS from a licensed sponsor, plus the Immigration Health Surcharge.
Visitor for medical treatment — Up to 6 months. Requires the UK clinician's letter, treatment plan and evidence you can pay for it.
